We are the People’s Park.
Comprised of more than 435 beautiful acres of rolling greenspace and waterways, Roger Williams Park is the People’s Park. Here, you can appreciate the beauty of the outdoors, get physically active, have fun with your family and friends, feel safe, and explore and discover new things. Each year over 1.5 million visitors from around the state – and beyond! – enjoy the same scenery and activities as past generations.
Roger Williams Park represents Rhode Island’s rich and diverse history, and the Roger Williams Park Conservancy is the proud steward. We offer program, raise funds, coordinate marketing, and plan for the future of the Park.
We are bringing back old traditions.
On a beautiful summer evening, nearly 10,000 people gathered for the Rhode Island Philharmonic’s RWP Pops concert, hosted by the Rhode Island Foundation.
And making new ones.
December 7, 2017 will mark the Conservancy’s second annual Tree Lighting at the Bandstand. Join us for music, hot chocolate, and merriment.

We’re restoring structures.
Construction on the Bandstand and Museum of Natural History is complete. Efforts are underway at the Temple to Music, Betsey Williams Cottage, Japanese Garden, and Casino. And improving water quality is an ongoing priority.

Giving people a reason to come back and explore.
In 2017, we opened a restored system of five marked trails. Each offers a different perspective on the Park, terrain, views, and level of difficulty.
And to come together.
Roger Williams Park has always been a place of gathering. The Conservancy has emphasized free, diverse programs, open to all. We value opportunities for the community to come together and share in the jewel that is Roger Williams Park.
