The Roger Williams Park Conservancy recently surveyed the public about the types of activities and events you’d like to see – and see more of – in Roger Williams Park. You spoke, and we listened! In the fitness category, the clear front runners were yoga and a walking group. So this spring, we’re piloting a new weekly walking group as well as offering an extended season of Yoga in the Park.

Wednesday Walking Group
Wednesdays, May 1-29 (initial trial)
6:00-7:00 PM
Location: Dalrymple Boathouse (map)
These weekly walks offer an opportunity to get active while exploring new areas of the Park and meeting new people. Walks will primarily follow the Park’s paved walking paths at a moderate pace, covering approximately 2-3 miles.

Yoga in the Park
Mondays, May 1-September 16
6:30-7:30 PM
Location: Temple to Music (map)
This introductory vinyasa flow class is open to all levels, from beginners to advanced, and will move at a gentle pace to establish strength, flexibility, and balance within a continuous sequence of postures. The class supports healthy alignment while honoring and exploring the connection between movement, breath and mindfulness. Please bring your own mat.
