The Pancratiast is a bronze copy of a statue that ornamented the Baths of Constantine.

Originally displayed at the Rhode Island School of Design, the Parks Department placed it here several years later, where it has remained ever since. The only time the statue has moved was during the Hurricane of 1938: strong winds toppled it but it landed upright!
