So far this year, over 100 of Roger Williams Park’s friends and neighbors have contributed thousands of dollars worth of labor. You have planted trees and other native plants, painted fencing, removed trash, hosted events, and generally supported the terrific Providence Parks Department in keeping the park beautiful and vibrant.
And there is more to do! Consider lending your skills to these important volunteer opportunities in the next two months:
Photography: Do you take unique, high-quality photos of Roger Williams Park, especially of little-known corners of the park? Would you like to? We are assembling the 2023 Roger Williams Park calendar and we need your help. Send us your photos or get in touch and we will talk with you about arranging some photo shoots.
Cross-country Meet: We need your help hosting this year’s Fall-Comers 5k Cross Country race on Saturday, October 29 with local Olympian, Molly Huddle. We need 5 to 10 people to pick up equipment, set up the course, marshal the course, and return the equipment. You don’t have to be an Olympian, or even a runner, to help. Get in touch, proceeds from the race benefit young local athletes and the park.
