Last Thursday, RILA brought "La Broa en tu barrio" to Roger Williams Park for an incredible opening night of their Teatro en El Verano series!

Adapted from "La Broa`", which premiered on the stage at @trinity_rep in 2024, this outdoor performance took place at the Broad Street entrance of the park, which is also the center of many of the real-life stories of Rhode Island`s Latino community that inspired the theatrical production. Oral histories collected by Marta V. Martínez were brought to the stage by playwright Orlando Hernández.

Thank you to the talented cast and crew, amazing food vendors, and everyone who came out for the show!

For more Teatro en El Verano dates at different locations, follow @rilatinoarts!
