Nature Walk

Meet at the Museum of Natural History (map)
Discover the great variety of plants and animals inhabiting the Park and learn to identify wildflowers and urban wildlife with a naturalist from the Museum of Natural History. Additional date: November 3.

Bird Walk
Sunday, October 7 | 9:00-10:30 AM
Meet at the Museum of Natural History (map)
Join a walk to explore the Park and search for fall migrants among the colorful fall foliage. Possible sightings include migrating hawks and warblers along with osprey, hooded mergansers, common goldeneye, great blue herons and bufflehead. Additional date: November 4.

Sunset Trail Walk

Meet at the Dalrymple Boathouse (map)
Join the Roger Williams Park Conservancy for an evening trail walk to explore one of the Park’s beautiful walking trails at a relatively brisk pace.

Trees in Autumn

Meet at the Museum of Natural History (map)
Take a brisk autumnal look at trees and other plant life. Museum of Natural History docent Bill La Civita will talk about why and how it happens, and why some plant life stays green all year round.

Fall Foliage Tour

Meet at the Dalrymple Boathouse (map)
Roger Williams Park is home to over 5,000 trees and a wide variety of species. Join the Roger Williams Park Conservancy and Providence City Forester Doug Still to explore some of the Park’s notable trees and most stunning fall colors. Tour is part walking and part motorized (transportation via shuttle is provided).

Williams Family Cemetery Walk
Saturday, October 27 | 10:00 AM-12:00 PM
Meet at the Museum of Natural History (map)
Museum of Natural History docent and archivist Richard Siembab will lead a special walking tour of the Park’s historic Williams family cemetery. Learn exactly who is buried there and what those curious symbols on the headstones really mean.
