Registration is required in advance.
In this workshop, we will make temporary, site-specific works of art in Roger Williams Park. Using only materials and forms readily found on the grounds, participants will be asked to reimagine the park and its contents in new and inventive ways. We will make site specific earth installations where we use what’s already in the park– foliage, dirt, rocks, trash, the wind, slopes, etcetera – to make small interventions with the group. The instructor will get you started with a short talk on landscape and earthen art to get you thinking about this way of creating. Then you will create your art out in the Park and share!
All are welcome. Minors under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult. Registration fee can be waived upon request by emailing the Roger Williams Park Conservancy.
In the event of inclement weather attendees will receive an email about rescheduling.
