The Victorian Rose Garden is part of a long tradition of beautiful floral gardens in the Park for the public to enjoy.

The Victorian Rose Garden and all of the ornamental flowers and shrubs in the Park, are maintained by the staff and volunteers of the Roger Williams Park Botanical Center. Thanks to the financial support of the Palmieri Foundation the Victorian Rose Garden now has irrigation, restored walkways, and new roses.

The beautifully maintained flowers have been a source of inspiration for decades.  According to Athelina Latham in The Jewel of Providence:

“When we arrived at the Park, what a sight! It seemed to be like a fairy land – something that you could not imagine unless you saw it.”
