February School Vacation is upon us and, with both rainy and warmer weather in the forecast, there is plenty of fun to be had all week long at Roger Williams Park!

  1. Wander Along the Trails

Take in scenic winter views and discover new vistas by exploring the Park’s trail system and walkways.

 

  1. Adventures in STEM

The Museum of Natural History and Planetarium is open daily from 10am-4pm and invites visitors to experiment, tinker, build, observe, problem solve, explore and create with fun, hands-on activities during Adventures in STEM from February 19-23. Conduct experiments to discover density on Monday, investigate humanity’s oldest tools and technology with Brown University’s Haffenreffer Museum of Anthropology on Tuesday, and enjoy daily planetarium shows. STEM activities are free with museum admission and planetarium shows are $3.00 and include museum admission.

 

  1. Fairy-Inspired Fun

Escape to the Botanical Center, which is open daily this week from 11am-4pm, and take part in special February school vacation workshops in the Imagination Studio. Explore Sandpainting on Wednesday, February 21, create Nature Wind Chimes on Thursday, February 22, and craft Wonder Wings and Wander Wands on Friday, February 23. All workshops are for ages 6-10 and require pre-registration; check the links for details.

 

  1. Take a Tour

Navigate your way among the Park’s notable trees, art, and historic buildings with a self-guided tour map.

 

  1. Winter Wonder Days

Roger Williams Park Zoo offers half-price admission throughout February during Winter Wonder Days and is open daily from 10am-4pm. Check the Zoo’s website for visiting information.
